Competencia Digital (CD)

Digital · Tecnología · Datos · Ciudadanía

Overview

Digital Competence involves the confident, critical, and responsible use of digital technologies for learning, work, and participation in society. It encompasses five areas: information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, safety and well-being, and problem-solving. It also includes understanding the social, ethical, and legal dimensions of digital life.

Why It Matters

Digital technologies permeate every aspect of modern life. Digital competence enables students to navigate the information landscape critically, protect their privacy and well-being online, create meaningful digital content, and participate as active, responsible digital citizens.

Key Dimensions

1

Information & Data Literacy

Searching, evaluating, and managing digital information and data.

2

Communication & Collaboration

Interacting, collaborating, and sharing through digital technologies.

3

Digital Content Creation

Creating and editing digital content, understanding copyright and licences.

4

Safety & Well-being

Protecting devices, data, privacy, and mental health in digital environments.

5

Problem-solving

Using digital tools to solve problems and identify gaps in digital competence.
